Day one was...um...interesting. First of all, I need to make note that only Travis, Anna, and I were coming from Salt Lake that day. Jen, Duane, Carter and Dalan were coming from Green River, WY...on the first big snow storm of the season. They ended up in a absolute stand still on I-80 which was closed because of the weather...FOR FOUR HOURS! Dang. I think I would have turned around, but they waited it out and made it all the way to Burley, ID that night.
We all finally met up in Seattle the night of day two.
Day 3: Seattle, WA to Vancouver, B.C. (Canada)
We followed some pretty sketchy Google map directions to Vancouver in the dark after hanging out in Seattle for the day.
Anna became best friends with the weird blue dog hanging from her car seat.
Day 4: Vancouver, B.C. to Port Angeles, WA
We took our car on a ferry ride to Vancouver Island to spend the day in Victoria. Dilly Dally loved the ferry ride, and the views were spectacular. We also visited this cool castle in Victoria.

Day 5: Port Angeles, WA to Portland, OR
The drive down the scenic coastal highway 101 was beautiful. I absolutely love the driftwood on the beaches and the towering rocks peeking out of the ocean.
Day 6: Portland, OR to Crescent City, CA
One of my very favorite things about the Pacific Northwest in the fall is, of course, the beautiful leaves! On our way to Crescent City (still on Highway 101) we stopped at the Sea Lion Caves. The sea lions must have been on vacation, but the scenery was amazing!
Day 7: Crescent City, CA to however far we can make it towards home.
We spent the morning among the giant Redwoods. Amazing! As far as we could make it turned out to be Winnimucca, NV.
Day 8: Winnimucca, NV to Salt Lake City, UT
It's always nice to finally be home! (and to have Anna back on a somewhat normal schedule :) Thanks to our travel buddies who endured road side feedings, freak snow storms, and endless hours in the car. We loved creating this memory with you!

Crazy is an understatement, but good for you guys. We don't even like to drive the four hours to St. George. I love how much Anna "loved" all the places you visited.
Beautiful pictures!!! I love that part of the country.
You took some awesome pictures! It looks so beautiful there. I can't even imagine driving all that way though with kids. INSANE! Thanks again for housing my husband! We owe you!
YOU. ARE. CRAZY.
And Brad will think that it's perfectly acceptable to drive across the country with a new born. Great. Thanks a lot Foxley's! JK, I'm so impressed.
The vacation went way too fast. I had a great time with you and Anna. I am very lucky to have you. It was tons of fun and I am so glad we did it. Anna did really well.
Wow. Taking a three month old on a road trip. I give you full props. She's adorable. Sounds like she was a good traveller. Aaron's family is from Oregon. It's so pretty there. Love the trees.
Your pictures reminded me so much of our trip to Seattle. You should have called my mom. She says her bed and breakfast is always open. What a fun trip.
What a trip...so many memories! I loved reading your post and I still miss you guys so much! I'm ready for the next trip, can you believe it. It must have been the way you recapped the last one.
It sounds like a complete blast. Kudos for doing it will all the kids. It would be hard, but they make it that much more fun too!
What an amazing trip! Your pictures are fabulous. You must have a wonderful camera and a real eye for beauty. Your little Anna is so darling, isn't it so much fun to have her in your life?
