Travis and I have been a bit sleep deprived lately. Anna has decided that she likes to wake up and talk (...loudly...to no one in particular) every two hours or so. At first we would wait for her to fall back asleep on her own, but we ended up waiting...and waiting...and waiting. (She likes to have REALLY long conversations.) And then, inevitably and eventually, she would end up rolling onto her stomach and then get upset because...well...she is on her stomach.
Last night after her third time waking up (around 3:00 am) Travis came up with a brilliant idea. We are going to try installing a rabbit water bottle dispenser to the inside of her crib, fill it with milk, and then when she decides she is hungry, she can just roll to the side and lap herself back to sleep. Brilliant! :)

that is funny!
Maybe you should pattin that and make millions! ;)
I think it is a pretty good idea Jen. Let's do it!
LOL. Let me know how that goes.
That's a great idea. And you could take it even further--you could have a voice activated bottle warmer so the milk would be just the right temperature for your little darling when she was done jabbering and ready for a little snack AND you could include a recording of sweet little nothings activated by Anna's sucking motion. Really, with all of that, she might never want to get out of her crib again. Now we just need to figure out an automatic diaper changer . . .
I hate to say it but you have to "ferberize" her! It's the hardest thing to do BUT the end result is super rewarding. It's called the The Ferber Method, and I'm sure you've heard of it. If not, I've got a great book I can lend you. Rebecca Matson was the one who introduced me to this method. It sucks but it totally works! Take care
Wow Jen, if you do that, I'm going to have to come and take Anna and care for her myself so that she knows that someone loves her. haha! That would be hilarious however. :)
